The Troubles will be discussed within the History of Ireland with regards to the period after partition. Long term and short term causes will be examined. Key events like the Civil Rights demonstrations and Bloody Sunday will be considered. The role of indiividuals such as Bernadette Devlin will be under the spotlight. Political and non political solutions and methods will be discussed. The Good Friday Agreement and what this meant for Northern Ireland, Ireland and the United Kingdom will be evaluated.
