A relaxed, friendly, mixed ability, women only class working at all levels up to level 2 on improving their maths skills and working towards qualifications.

Fee: Free: Subject to Eligibility (Learners must have been resident in the UK for at least the past six months)


Course aims
An opportunity to develop your Maths and IT skills in a relaxed friendly class and work towards a Functional Skills Maths qualification.

Topics to be covered • Using and writing calculations

• Different units of measure including time and temperature

• Using fractions and percentages to work out special offers

• Using shape and space to plan designs

• Using tables and charts to record and find out information

• Finding out what Maths you can do next

Learning outcomes

As a result of this course it may be possible for you to:

• Solve a problem by writing a calculation

• Solve a problem involving shape and space

• Produce a table or chart to explain information

• Try a Maths assessment

Work towards and achieve outcomes as specified in your individual learning plan and negotiated with the Course Tutor following initial assessment.
