This module aims to help you understand your market and where you are in the bigger picture, understand your customers better; increase the effectiveness of your marketing and polish your marketing message.

Learning outcomes
As a result of attending this course it may be possible for you to:

  • Undertake Market Research
  • What do you know about your customers’ experiences of your business
  • Pricing for profit

Teaching methods, learning activities
Experiential exercises, group discussions, case studies and self-study assignments.

Assessment methods
Through quizzes, discussions and a variety of set assignments, the tutor will ensure that learners are making progress.

Previous learning required
Recent experience of establishing or running a new / start up business is assumed.

Essential materials or equipment
Learners will need access to a computer and the internet outside the course activities.

Where the course may lead
Each module is designed to build on existing knowledge and may lead to attendance at other module courses or a longer more specific and detailed course.

The tutor can provide you with information about what you can do next with the WEA and other local providers.
