Computer maintainance course helps volunteers

It’s a difficult issue. What does one do with a desktop computer once it has been repaired?

This is a dilemma that our computer maintainance course was facing. The course, run by our very own Bob Massey, takes desktop computers and takes them apart. They are then reassembled and configured to their original glory. The learners gain an understanding of how a computer works and how to repair them.

5 desktop machines were today donated to 97.5 Kemet FM to support the volunteer MSN* project that they are running. The computers were accepted on behalf of Kemet by Andrew Campbell.

We wish the Kemet project all the best and trust that the computers perform well for them.

*MSN, formerly The Microsoft Network, is a collection of Internet sites and services provided by Microsoft. Chief amongst these services is Hotmail and MSN instant messaging.
