Hello, my name’s Haydn Jones. It seems like I’ve been a teacher of English for quite a long time now as I used to live in Tokyo, Japan where I taught English (for 10 years!) before returning to the UK.
I guess I enjoy helping people to communicate with each other and I get a buzz when they see how a new language can help them in the future. Communication is such an important part of our lives. It allows us to cross boundaries (cultural and physical) and seek new territory and understanding. Learning about other people’s cultures and how ‘we do things’ is constantly interesting to me and can be a great reward for all our efforts.
My guilty secret? Actually in Japan I was learning to be a Ninja too – that’s why it took so long….but that’s probably too secret! shhhh!
