The aims of the course

The aim of this course is to introduce blogs and blogging and how they can be used by small business as websites.

This course is for people who need to run a website on behalf of a small company. It covers setting up a WordPress.com blog, writing a post, customising a blog to make it work for you, sharing editorial control and promoting your work.

WordPress is a free system with no hosting costs and can act as either a company blog or website. If you are thinking of having a website made then do this course first, the site you will make as part of this course can be your company website or act as a valuable learning experience to commission a smarter site elsewhere.

The will be some out of session work on this course but it is not conditional to course completion.
