Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector: City and Guilds 7303 (Level 3)
This award is the appropriate qualification if you are seeking a stepping stone to qualifications that entitle you to teach in either an Associate Teacher or Full Teacher role in the lifelong learning sector in England. It confers the required threshold licence to teach for all new teachers working in the sector including adult and community learning, work-based learning and the voluntary sector.
Who is this qualification for?
The qualification is aimed at candidates who:
- need an introduction to teaching in the lifelong learning sector or
- are seeking a career progression within their area of work or
- will be/are seeking to progress towards ATLS/QTLS status and/or
- teach on a one-to-one and/or group basis
It is suitable for those who work or want to work as:
- teachers in the lifelong learning sector, ie further, adult and community education, work-based learning and the voluntary sector provided they are qualified/experienced in the subject they intend to teach at the appropriate level
- technicians and support staff in further and adult education
What are the entry requirements?
This is a level 3 course and you will be expected to write assignments at this level. A written pre-acceptance task is required to join the course. You will also need to be qualified/experienced in the subject(s) you wish to teach.
There is no teaching commitment required for this course.
